Sentinel Primary Entrance Matting

Sentinel Primary Entrance Matting is manufactured at our factory and consists of high grade aluminium sections, standard 16mm high, tensioned with PVC coated stainless steel chords. Rubber backing is fitted to both ensure absorption of noise and a softer feel for pedestrian traffic. The Sentinel Gap system disposes of wet and dry contamination through 3 or 6mm wide gaps into the matwell or reservoir below the mat. The matting can be rolled up and removed from the matwell for regular cleaning. Based on the External Primary Entrance Matting aluminium profile, Sentinel Zone 2 Matting utilizes cut pile carpet strips containing monofilament fibre which improves the cleaning and scouring properties of the mat quite dramatically.

Primary Matting

In locations where the contamination is excessive, Sentinel entrance matting offers a multitude of options - moisture absorbent carpet strips with monofilament fibres added which can be interspaced with aluminium scraper bars or stiff brush tufts, rubber strips and ribbed aluminium sections or any combination of these. Foyer Tiles

Often, either space available or economic considerations mean that the primary entrance matting does not have sufficient area to ensure the maximum removal of contamination from traffic passing over the matting.

Sentinel Secondary Entrance Foyer Tiles solve this problem by incorporating into our solution dyed cut pile tiles or broadloom, approx. 37,000 special monofilament scraper fibres per square metre.

These fibres work to scour any residual contaminants from the foot and prevent them from being trafficked into the building, whilst remaining easily removed by intensive vacuum cleaning. The practical aspects can be listed:

Loop Pile Carpet Tiles

Sentinel looped pile fulfills all the requirements. A palette of 36 co-ordinated colours to continue or contrast with the themes established in the primary and secondary surfaces gives designer and client the opportunity to experiment with tones that can be either stimulating or relaxing - appropriate for the office or the rest room perhaps. Again, in 50 x 50cm with the broadloom option up to 200cm wide as part of a 500m2 order, the looped pile tiles have all the appearance of broadloom when laid and the practical advantage of tiles, thanks to the advanced ultrasonic slitting technique employed.
